Letchworth Swim School has been run by Tania Hawkins since 2002.
We use St Francis’ College pool in Letchworth
on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, term time only.
We enjoy a good reputation locally, with past swimmers returning with their own children!
All teachers are experienced ASA/Swim England qualified swimming teachers
Our teachers have a current enhanced DBS
We have an NPLQ qualified lifeguard on the poolside during lessons
Your swim school is fantastic and all the staff do a fabulous job with the children
We start children the term they are 4 years old in the width classes where they remain, being progressed out of aids and working on their technique across the strokes, until they have done 20/25m. They will then move up to the first length class session.
We are proud to run our own carefully devised badge scheme which covers the progression of all elements of skill and stroke development as well as basic personal safety through to lifesaving skills.
This has enabled our swimmers to competently progress into joining local water polo, swim squad and synchronised swimming clubs as well as take up scuba or yachting qualifications.
